WTB Asym i23 27.5" MTB Rim

Asym rims use an asymmetrical design to create a rim that evenly distributes tension, doesn’t require dishing, and makes for a faster wheel assembly. High end WT69 Alloy and an open cavity design keep Asym weights down while eyelets prolong longevity and prevent binding. Featuring a full TCS (tubeless compatible system) inner rim profile, Asym rims provide a lightweight, higher performance value-driven option that works exceptionally well with wheel building machines.

• Asymmetrical design: The 4.5mm spoke offset on the rim bed is the main feature. It allows for more even spoke tension between the drive-side and non-drive-side spokes, resulting in a stronger, stiffer, and more durable wheel build.
• Tubeless compatibility: The rim features WTB's Tubeless Compatible System (TCS) for easy tubeless setups. This design uses a bead-lock to securely hold the tire in place and prevent burping, even at lower tire pressures.
• Performance: The 23mm internal width (the "i23") is considered wide for its time, providing good support for higher-volume mountain bike and gravel tires, which enhanced traction and stability.
• Construction: Built with a lightweight yet strong WT69 Alloy, the rim is a solid, reliable choice for custom wheel builds. The sleeved joint construction adds to its durability.
